A Journey That Started With One Computer.
My name is Syed Hasimul Kabir Rana, and I am the founder of hamimit.com, a computer training center and digital agency based in Tangail, Bangladesh.
The story of HA-MIM IT started in 1994.
At that time, computers were still new to many people in Bangladesh. I became interested in computers after visiting my uncle’s computer training institute in Tangail. The institute needed someone to help with training, so I started working there.
I learned by doing.
During the day, I helped students. At night, I spent more time learning computers and improving my own skills. I did not have a large team or a big office. I had curiosity, hard work, and a strong wish to learn technology.
Later, that training center closed. But I did not want the journey to end.
With support from my family, I started my own small training center in Tangail.
That small beginning became HA-MIM IT.
34+ Years of Institutional Legacy
HA-MIM IT built its foundation through computer education, practical training, and real work.
The goal was never only to teach students how to use a computer. I wanted students to understand how technology could help them work, learn, and build a better future.
Over the years, HA-MIM IT developed from a local computer training center into a wider technology organization.
The institute has trained 3,500+ students and the organization has delivered 100+ websites and software projects. Our work has also included government-related projects, including Gopalpur Pourashava and Dhanbari Pourashava.
These numbers are important, but the people behind them are more important to me.
Every student had a different reason for coming to us. Some wanted to learn basic computer skills. Some wanted to build a career. Some wanted to work online. Some wanted to understand digital technology for their business.
Every client also had a different problem.
That experience taught me an important lesson:
Technology is useful only when it solves a real problem.
This belief became part of the culture of HA-MIM IT.
We teach practical skills because people need practical skills. We build websites because businesses need useful digital systems. We work with digital marketing and SEO because businesses need to be found and understood online.
From Training to Real Digital Work
As technology changed, HA-MIM IT changed with it.
Computer education was our early foundation. Later, websites, digital marketing, graphics, social media, SEO, and software became part of our work.
The organization now combines training and digital services under one roof.
That combination is important because education and real client work can support each other.
A trainer who understands real projects can teach from experience.
A digital team that understands education can explain technology in a simple way.
That is the kind of environment I wanted to build.
I have always believed that learning should not stop after a course ends. Technology keeps moving, so we have to keep learning too.
Real Work Builds Real Experience
During my active years, I personally handled almost 200 clients at different stages of the business.
The work was not limited to one type of project.
HA-MIM IT created websites, set up Facebook pages, managed advertising campaigns, worked on YouTube channels, developed brand strategies, and delivered design work for clients.
The organization has also completed SEO projects and continues to work on active projects.
Our experience includes local work in Bangladesh as well as projects connected with international clients.
But I do not believe experience means simply counting projects.
Experience means learning from each project.
- A website teaches you something.
- A difficult client teaches you something.
- A student who struggles to understand a topic teaches you something.
- A project that does not go according to plan teaches you something.
That is how a business grows.
Building HA-MIM IT in Tangail
I chose Tangail as the home of HA-MIM IT because I believe good technology education should not belong only to people living in Dhaka or other major cities.
People in Tangail also deserve access to useful computer education and digital opportunities.
Over the years, HA-MIM IT became part of the local technology community.
Students came to learn.
Businesses came for digital help.
Young people came with questions about computers, websites, freelancing, and online work.
That relationship with people has always been one of the most meaningful parts of the journey.
A BTEB-Certified Institution
HA-MIM IT operates as a BTEB-certified training institute under Code 54218.
This certification is an important part of our institutional identity.
For us, training is not simply about giving someone a few lessons and sending them home. We want students to learn through structured instruction, practice, and real understanding.
Our experience of training 3,500+ students has also helped us understand that different learners need different kinds of support.
- Some people learn quickly.
- Some need more practice.
- Some need simple explanations.
- Good teaching means understanding that difference.
Passing the Work to the Next Generation
Today, the leadership of HA-MIM IT has moved into the next generation.
My son, Muhammad Nahid Hasan Mim, is now the Managing Director of HA-MIM IT.
Nahid holds a B.Sc. in CSE and leads the organization’s current digital strategy.
He started his SEO learning journey in 2020 and developed a strong focus on Semantic SEO, Holistic SEO, Topical Authority, WordPress, YouTube SEO, and AI-focused content strategy. The current strategy also uses tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
I see this as a natural continuation of the journey.
When I started, computers were still becoming familiar to people.
Today, search engines, websites, social media, AI, and digital business are changing how people work.
The technology is different.
The need to learn is the same.
What I Wanted HA-MIM IT to Become
I never wanted HA-MIM IT to be only a training center.
I wanted it to become a place where people could learn technology and see technology being used in real life.
That idea is still part of the organization today.
Students can learn.
Businesses can get digital support.
The team can work on real projects.
And the organization can continue learning from those experiences.
This creates a simple cycle:
Learn → Practice → Work → Improve → Share.
That cycle has helped shape HA-MIM IT for more than three decades.
From One Generation to the Next
The journey started with me, but it does not end with me.
I built the foundation. Nahid is helping take that foundation into the modern digital world.
We believe the best way to learn technology is to use it, test it, and build with it.
A local start-up in Tangail became a growing digital organization serving people and businesses in Bangladesh and beyond.
Our principle remains simple:
- Learn technology.
- Do the work.
- Share what you learn.
That is the story of HA-MIM IT.
And for me, the most important part of the story is not how big the organization becomes.
It is how many people can learn, build, and move forward because we decided to start that first small training center in 1994.
