WordPress Course in Tangail | Web Design Training In 2026

By Nahid Hasan Mim

HA-MIM IT offers an in-person Web Design & WordPress Development course in Tangail for learners with basic computer knowledge. The course covers WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, website setup, deployment, SEO basics, and speed optimization across 50 classes over four months.

That’s the straight answer. Here’s everything else you need to know before you sign up.

Want to learn how to install WordPress first? Read our step-by-step WordPress installation guide before you start.

What Do You Learn in the WordPress Course?

WordPress Website Setup

You learn how to install WordPress from scratch, configure the dashboard, and set up a site that actually works. No half-baked demos where everything is pre-loaded. You build every piece yourself.

Elementor

Elementor is the drag-and-drop page builder most freelancers use right now. You get comfortable with widgets, sections, columns, and responsive design. Once you nail Elementor, you can build almost anything.

WooCommerce

Want to build an online store? WooCommerce turns WordPress into a full e-commerce setup. You learn product pages, payment gateways, and shipping settings. It pays well once you know your way around it.

Website Deployment

Building locally is the easy part. Pushing a site live without breaking it? That’s where beginners lose their minds. You practice moving sites from localhost to a live server properly.

Domain and Hosting Setup

Picking a domain, connecting it to hosting, managing DNS records. Boring until you mess them up on a client project. You do the whole process in class so you don’t learn the hard way.

SEO Basics

Search Engine Optimization isn’t optional anymore. You cover on-page SEO, meta tags, keyword placement, and how WordPress structure affects search visibility. A beautiful site means nothing if nobody finds it.

Want to dive deeper later? Read our Yoast SEO plugin guide and why Rank Math SEO plugin is best once you finish the course.

Website Speed Optimization

A slow website kills conversions. Period. You learn caching plugins, image optimization, and code minification. Clients notice when their site loads fast. And they’ll pay for it.

Core Web Vitals

Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking signal. You understand LCP, INP, and CLS, and how to fix them when a site fails. Most freelancers ignore this. You won’t.

Do You Need Coding Experience to Learn WordPress?

Nope. You don’t need to write a single line of code to start building websites with WordPress. That’s the whole point of using a content management system.

Basic computer skills matter though. If you can’t navigate a file system or install software, you’ll struggle. HTML and CSS knowledge helps later but it’s not a prerequisite. You can pick up coding as you go.

The course doesn’t teach HTML or CSS as a core module. But if you have some idea of them, learning WordPress becomes easier.

Should You Learn Basic Computer Before WordPress?

Yes, if your fundamentals are weak. Here’s the thing. If you don’t know how to copy-paste files, use a browser, or manage folders, WordPress will feel like climbing a mountain in flip-flops.

HA-MIM IT offers a Basic Computer course for exactly this. Get your foundations right first. It’ll save you weeks of headaches.

A complete beginner cannot directly start with WordPress. You need basic computer knowledge first. That’s why we don’t recommend this course to absolute beginners.

How Much Does a WordPress Course Cost in Tangail?

The course fee is 10,000 taka. You pay 50 percent at admission and the rest after around 22 or 23 classes.

No hidden charges. Compared to Dhaka centers charging double or triple, this is a fair deal for 50 classes with a maximum of five students per batch.

Local offline institutes in Tangail typically price basic computer and IT certification tracks starting around 10,000 taka for a 3-month course. HA-MIM IT gives you 4 months, 50 classes, and BTEB-certified institute backup for the same price range.

WordPress Course Duration and Class Schedule

Four months. Fifty classes. Three days per week. Two hours each.

The batch caps at five students, and you agree on a class time together. No random schedule changes. You also need about four hours of home practice daily. Not a suggestion. It’s what it takes to get good.

Classes run from 8am to 7pm. No classes during prayer times. Friday and Saturday are off, per government rules.

How Much Should You Practice WordPress at Home?

Around four hours daily. Building websites is hands-on, like driving. You can’t learn it by watching someone else.

At home, rebuild what you did in class. Break it. Fix it. Try different themes. Students who skip practice usually end up stuck for weeks while their batch moves ahead. Don’t be that person.

5 hours daily is even better if you’re serious about freelancing.

Can You Build a Real Website During the Course?

Absolutely. That’s the entire point of the training.

Practice Websites

You build multiple practice sites during the course. These aren’t throwaway exercises. They become part of your learning portfolio.

Portfolio Website

By the end, you have a personal portfolio website displaying your best work. This is the most important thing you show potential clients. Without it, you’re just another person claiming they can build sites.

Client-Style Projects

You work on projects that simulate real client requests. Business websites, landing pages, blog setups. The kind of work people actually pay for. This is where classroom training beats YouTube every time.

Deployment

Every major project gets deployed to a live server. When a client asks to see a live example, you have several ready. No localhost excuses.

Can You Freelance With WordPress After the Course?

You can. Whether you will depends on how much effort you put in after class ends.

WordPress freelancing covers building new websites, landing pages, WooCommerce stores, site maintenance, and speed optimization. You can find work on Fiverr, Upwork, local clients in Tangail, or subcontract through agencies.

But no course hands you clients on a silver platter. You need a portfolio, proposal skills, and thick skin. The course gives you the technical ability. Finding work is on you.

HA-MIM IT supports you with marketplace profile setup, live bidding guidance, portfolio building, and lifetime mentorship. When you get stuck on a client message or a complex project, mentors step in. That support matters.

How Much Can a WordPress Freelancer Earn?

I’m not throwing made-up income numbers at you. Your earnings depend on skill level, services offered, portfolio strength, client type, platform, and project scope.

On Fiverr, WordPress projects range from 50 dollars to 10,000 dollars. On Upwork, projects run even bigger. Your actual income depends entirely on your work.

Some freelancers earn solid side income. Others build full-time careers on international platforms. And some never make a single taka because they stop practicing after the course. The training teaches you the craft. The earning part is between you and the market.

Is the WordPress Course BTEB Certified?

No. You get an institute certificate from HA-MIM IT only.

Some centers in Bangladesh advertise BTEB certification for courses not registered with the board. HA-MIM IT is upfront. No government certificate for this course. What actually matters is whether you can build websites.

Who Teaches WordPress?

Nahid Hasan Mim. That’s me. Managing Director and Lead SEO Strategist at HA-MIM IT. B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering.

Why My Practical SEO + WordPress Background Matters

Most WordPress trainers know how to build sites. Few understand how those sites need to perform in search engines. My SEO background means you’re not just clicking buttons in Elementor. You’re building sites structured for search visibility from day one.

When your WordPress site is fast, clean, and properly organized, SEO becomes way easier later. That connection between development and search performance is something you won’t get from a design-only trainer.

I started learning SEO in 2020 on real client projects. I follow a Holistic and Semantic SEO framework associated with Koray Tuğberk GÜBÜR. Read my full story here if you want to know more about my background.

You can also book a meeting with me directly if you have specific questions.

WordPress vs Graphic Design for Freelancing

This comes up all the time. Both paths work, but they’re very different.

Graphic design is visual. Logos, social media posts, brand identity. WordPress is functional. Building websites businesses actually need. If you love visual art, go for design. But if you like problem-solving and building things that work, WordPress pays better per project.

A single website project often earns more than a month of logo designs. Pick what you’d enjoy doing daily. Because you’ll do a lot of it.

WordPress vs SEO: Which Should You Learn First?

WordPress first. Then SEO. That’s the recommended order.

SEO without understanding website structure is like fixing a car engine without knowing what the parts do. When you know how WordPress works (pages, URLs, plugin effects on speed), SEO becomes logical instead of confusing. Build the site first. Optimize it second.

Classroom WordPress Training vs YouTube Tutorials

I’ve seen this too many times. Someone watches 50 YouTube tutorials, feels confident, opens Elementor, and freezes completely.

Instant Troubleshooting

Something breaks while you’re building. On YouTube, you spend hours Googling error messages. In class, your instructor spots and fixes it in two minutes.

Structured Practice

YouTube has no curriculum. You jump between beginner and advanced randomly. A classroom follows a logical order where each class builds on the last. You actually remember what you learn.

Live Projects

Tutorials use pre-made data that always works. In class, you build from scratch where things go wrong. That experience matters when a client hands you a vague brief.

Portfolio Help

Your instructor tells you which projects are portfolio-worthy and which need more work. YouTube can’t do that.

Marketplace Guidance

Fiverr gigs, Upwork proposals, pricing services. Not technical skills but essential for making money. You get this in class. YouTube won’t touch it.

Class Attendance and Missed Class Rules

The instructor waits 10 minutes max past the agreed time. If the teacher is absent, a make-up class is scheduled. Guaranteed.

But if you miss a class, no individual make-up for you.

If 3 or more students are absent, the batch moves forward. Five consecutive days absent without notice? You’re removed. When one person falls behind in a five-student batch, it drags everyone down. Show up and do the work.

Same attendance policy across all five courses.
